We are a very community driven festival and have involved many charities and community building workshops and information stands.

The charities that we are supporting are listed below and they will also be present during the event giving people information on what they do to support our local community and how you can get involved.

Julias House

Julia’s House is the only children’s hospice situated in Dorset and Wiltshire dedicated to providing life-changing support to help families from diagnosis through to the end of a child’s life.


RNLI lifeboat crews protect hundreds of communities around the UK and Ireland through our 24-hour search and rescue service. To do so, they rely on the safest, most reliable lifeboats and modern stations to launch from.

Diverse Abilities

Diverse Abilities is an independent, not for profit organisation working together with families to help meet the needs of local people, of all ages, with physical and learning disabilities.

Green Peace

Greenpeace defend the natural world and promote peace by investigating, exposing and confronting environmental abuse, and championing environmentally responsible solutions.

Bournemouth University

We are honoured to be Bournemouth University’s flagship Festival of Learning goes on tour - if you’re looking for something interactive and educational to do with your family on Saturday afternoon then look no further! They will be at the Seven Seas Festival with lots of free, fun, hands-on activities, including microscopes to see in minute detail how sewage is cleaned, a submarine selfie-spot and a chance to have a go at navigating the seas as an ancient seafarer. Don’t miss the opportunity to talk to their staff and students, and find out how BU research makes a difference, not just to our local community but to communities across the world.


Shine Academy of Performing Arts, strive to better our students through educational experiences both in and out of the classroom. SHINE Academy of Performing Arts based in purpose built dance and music studio's in Poole, aims to create a haven where students feel safe. We offer a variety of services from ages 2.5 right up to adults, in Ballet & Jazz, Acting to Singing and Contemporary dance and more. All designed to help students be the best version of themselves, while having a fun along the way.

First Position Dance

First Position School of Dance....nurturing every child's self belief and a love of dance that lasts forever. Award winning dance school based in Bournemouth and Dance School of the Year Winner 2016, First Position teaches children from toddlers up to professional level. Classes in RAD Ballet ,ISTD Modern,Jazz and Tap and also specialist classes in contemporary and commercial dance, Acrobatic Arts , pointe work, fitness, limbering and conditioning. The Kitchen Poole Park

The production company behind The Kitchen Pop-Up Theatre was created by Mary Dale to “bring new and compelling storytelling to Dorset”. Their last project pulled together David Glass and AUB students in a site-specific event based on the movie ‘The Shining’ that sold out for 18 nights at The Chine Hotel. Idea Cabinet makes films, radio and theatrical storytelling happen through their extensive networks of professionals and contacts with our local Universities.


The South Coast Academy for the Performing Arts (SCAPA) began in 2009 and has been gaining in popularity ever since. Their company mission statement is “to nurture, encourage and develop confidence, to enjoy and achieve”.

SCAPA delivers a full-scale production at the end of every summer term, they also hold a Christmas showcase and numerous holiday workshops where kids can really hone their skills or just be part of something really fun!

SCAPA is the brainchild of Jo Michaels, who has some 30 years experience in the business, both as a performer and as a teacher.
